Accessibility
I have tried to make this website as accessible as possible in terms of design and layout.
This website aims to conform to the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
At the bottom right of each page of this website you can see the CSS and HTML buttons pictured below.

The W3C is an international group which works with its members and the public to develop standards and guidelines for the World Wide Web. These logos show that the page meets certain standards. Following these links from any page on this website will check the page's code on the W3C validation service.
Browsers
There are now several web browsers available that people use to view the internet. This site is regularly checked with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Different browsers display websites in different ways. If you come across a page or something that looks strange in your particular browser, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to let me know so that I can try to correct it.
Display settings
Web pages will appear different depending on the size of computer monitor you have, and also on the 'screen resolution' setting.
The higher the screen setting, the more information you can see on screen without scrolling. This website is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels (or higher).
If your screen resolution is greater than that, for instance, if you have a widescreen monitor, I recommend using the highest resolution available, but not looking at the site fullscreen. (You may wish to play around with the size and shape that looks best to you.)
To change your screen resolution, do the following.
(Windows)
- Click on the 'Start' button and then 'Control Panel'
- Click on 'Display' (Appearance and Themes - Windows XP)
- Click on the 'Settings' tab
- Move the slider to 1024x768
- Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK'
(Macintosh)
- Open Mac Preferences (in Mac OS9 open Apple Menu, then Control Panels, then Monitors)
- Click on 'Displays'
- Select 1024x768 as the resolution
- Click on 'OK'
Search
To search for something on this website please use the search tool on the left hand side of the screen. Simply type what you are looking for into the 'Keywords' box, and then press the 'Search this site' button. You can then filter and order your results at the top of the list of search results.
Text size
I have provided a text re-sizing tool on this website. You should be able to see it towards the top right of the screen. If you can't see it, or you want to use another method, there are a few things you can do instead.
- If you have a scroll mouse, you can press down the Ctrl key and zoom the text larger or smaller as you wish. Some browsers set limits to how much you can zoom the text using this method, others don't.
- Most browsers (including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari) also provide their own way of changing text size. The controls are usually found somewhere on the view menu on most browsers.
When tested on Internet Explorer, the text resizing tool seemed to disable the second method, but not the first.
If you are still having problems with the text size on this website after reading the above suggestions, please email
